Why I Started Simple Food Dishes
I grew up watching my mom cook dinner from scratch every night. She never used a recipe card — she just knew what to do, and it always tasted incredible. When I moved out on my own, I realized I wanted that same thing: real food, made at home, without the stress.
The problem was that most recipes online either assumed too much or took too long. I wanted straightforward food that I could actually pull off on a busy Tuesday. Over time, I started writing down what worked, tweaking until it was easy enough to repeat, and sharing it with family and friends who were asking for the same thing.
That’s what Simple Food Dishes is. A collection of recipes that work in a real home kitchen, with ingredients you can find at any grocery store. No shortcuts on flavor — just shortcuts on complexity.
