Step 1: Prepare the Blueberries
  1. Start by rinsing the blueberries under cool water. Remove and discard any stems or unripe berries. You want only the best for your jam; those plump, juicy ones! Once rinsed, pat them dry gently with a clean towel.
Step 2: Cook the Berries
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir gently to combine. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring it to a simmer. As the mixture heats, the blueberries will begin to release their juices and break down. Stir occasionally and watch as the berries start to bubble.
Step 3: Add the Vanilla
